Absolutely loved the beautiful garden views and the refreshing pool with a sun-deck. Also enjoyed exploring the area with its hiking/biking trails and stunning natural reserves. The seasonal outdoor pool and shared lounge were great additions. And let's not forget the exciting playground and the delicious food at the restaurant and bar. Plus, the gift shop had some interesting finds! Can't wait to come back for more outdoor excitement and relaxation.
Oh, just adored having to share a plug between the bathroom and two sinks. Such a fun game of plug-musical-chairs every morning.

Delightful and Serene: Nestled amongst organic Mediterranean orchards filled with figs, oranges, olives, and carob trees, this active traditional farm provides a truly peaceful and scenic setting for a memorable stay.
Minor Inconvenience: Wifi connectivity issues and occasional rooster crowing during the night disrupted the tranquility of our stay.

Explored the trails, enjoyed the views, and relaxed by the pool. Managed to survive without the exciting playground.
The lack of an exciting playground was devastating.

We had a blast exploring the area on the complimentary bikes and even tried our hand at horse riding - so rad! The farm stay had free Wi-Fi, which was epic for keeping up with our social media. Plus, the place was super chill and relaxed, making it the perfect spot for young people like us to have a good time.
If I had to ask for one thing to make our stay even more fun, it would be a cool outdoor party area with some music and lights. We loved the peaceful vibe, but a little bit of partying would have been the icing on the cake for our epic teenage getaway.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and rural location on a working fruit farm.- Cosy room including very well equipped kitchen.- Property's permaculture mindset and high sustainability standards.- Owner took extensive time to explain the permaculture set-up and how it was achieved and what is planned for the future.
The lighting is very dim, especially bad for food preparation and cooking. The cottage is quite a distance from the farm house, which we didn't expect from the description, so not really practical to walk out and harvest vegetables.

I had a fantastic stay at this countryside hotel. It was perfectly located, not far from the beach, supermarkets, and restaurants. The king room was spacious, with a lovely outdoor patio and BBQ area. I enjoyed cooking fresh fish bought from the market on the BBQ. The restaurant served delicious, fresh food, and the desserts were a highlight. The whole atmosphere and staff were amazing, and I loved the concept of the farm and all the animals. The villa was beautiful, with a well-equipped kitchen. it was a truly memorable experience.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Quinta Da Fornalha - Santuario Agroecologico is an absolute dream! The location is perfect, with serene surroundings yet just a stone's throw away from breathtaking beaches. The staff are beyond amazing and go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and the restaurant offers mouth-watering dishes. The farm concept is mind-blowing and we couldn't get enough of the adorable animals roaming around. The fresh figs and products from the shop are to die for. The cozy and peaceful atmosphere made us feel right at home, and we were enchanted by the friendly cats who brought so much joy. Cooking with freshly picked ingredients was a jaw-dropping experience, and the fully equipped amenities, including the fabulous shower and tiny dishwasher, were a pleasant surprise. The location is ideal, close to the beach and yet secluded, with a lovely pool and lake nearby. The local railway station is within walking distance for a car-free adventure. We highly recommend visiting the restaurant for a superb meal. The absence of TV was not a concern with reliable wifi available. In conclusion, our stay was nothing short of amazing, with endless activities such as hiking, cycling, canoeing, fishing. The accommodations were perfect, and the staff made us feel like VIPs. We truly cannot wait to visit again and soak up the sun on the private beach, relax on the comfortable sun loungers or in the rooftop pool, and enjoy the various amenities such as the game room and children's play area. Whether you have pets or prefer a non-smoking room, Quinta Da Fornalha - Santuario Agroecologico has got you covered. Don't miss out on this remarkable destination!

We stayed in a lovely studio that was very well-equipped and had plenty of space. the farm had its own shop with delicious local products and a tavern serving excellent food made from their own produce. the swimming pool had a fantastic view and there was a great playground for the kids. the location was peaceful yet not far from the beaches and nearby towns.
The outdoor chairs could have used some cushions.

The hotel's decoration had a charming and cozy touch, reminiscent of a traditional Portuguese home. The general areas were well-maintained and had a warm ambiance, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. As a senior woman, I appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with well-designed ramps and wide hallways, making it easy for me to navigate around the property.
I would have liked to see more assistance for senior people during our stay. Though the staff was friendly, there were no specific services or amenities tailored towards the needs of older guests.

our recent honeymoon trip to castro marim exceeded our expectations, especially our stay at quinta da fornalha - santuario agroecologico. the peaceful location in the countryside, the comfortable studio, and the bbq for fresh fish made for a perfect retreat. the birdwatching opportunities and nearby day trips to tavira and faro added to the charm. highly recommended.
Directions were a bit tricky.

The homemade organic food at the restaurant was incredible, with a variety of dishes to choose from. I loved being able to wander around the farm and pick fresh fruits and vegetables whenever I wanted. the swimming pool had stunning views of the countryside - the perfect spot to relax. the location was great, just a short drive from the beautiful beach. I also enjoyed the company of the friendly cats, dogs, and turkeys that roamed the property.
The beds could have been more comfortable and the kitchen was a bit cramped with limited utensils. the mosquitoes were quite bothersome, making it difficult to fully enjoy the outdoor space.
